The pre-released song "Black Swan," which will be included in BTS' new album, has entered the Billboard main singles chart at No. 57.
Although it is far behind the eighth-highest score of "Boy With Luv" last year, the song seems to have little significance for the ranking itself because it is a pre-released song to explain the concept of the album, not the title track.
"BTS' Black Swan debuted on Billboard's main single chart Hot100 at 57th place," Billboard said on its SNS on Wednesday. It is BTS' eighth career hit song in the Hot100. The chart will be officially updated on Friday.
"Black Swan" is a track from BTS' fourth full-length album "Map of the Sol: 7," which was released in advance of the full-length album that will be released in the near future, along with art films. The album, including the title track, will be released on April 21.
The record set by BTS on the Hot100 chart is eighth place with "Boy With Rub. Other records include 10th place in "Pake Love," 11th place in "Idol," 28th place in "Mike Drop," 67th place in "DNA," 76th place in "Make It Light" and 89th place in "Waste It On Me."
The BTS didn't make it to the nomination, but it was the winner last year, and this year's performance was the second straight year that they have visited Grammys. Time, a U.S. weekly magazine, said of the "Old Town Road" stage with rapper Lil Nas X on Wednesday, "The performance of BTS has made history. This is the first time that a Korean singer has performed in a Grammy," he said, adding that their appearance was short but excellent.
